About Manor House

A vibrant chapter ...

Manor House Chapter NSDAR, 120-plus years after our founding, is vibrant and growing. Our members span a wide range of ages and interests, including: literacy promotion, service to active-duty military and families, scholarships and educational awards, environmental conservation, women’s issues, and a variety of other community service projects.

Meetings

Regular chapter meetings are held on the second Tuesday evening of each month (September–May) at various locations across the District of Columbia. Meetings begin with social time, including refreshments and snacks, at 6:30 p.m., followed by a formal chapter meeting at 7:00 p.m. The chapter is committed to ensuring that meeting locations are metro-accessible. All DAR members and prospective members are welcome to join us. If you are interested in attending, please contact us.

Committees & Projects

To promote the DAR core mission areas of patriotism, education, and historic preservation, Manor House Chapter NSDAR participates in a variety of NSDAR committees & projects.

Chapter History

Manor House Chapter NSDAR was organized January 6, 1898, and named for the historic Van Cortlandt Manor located in Croton-on-Hudson, New York.

Chapter Leadership

Our Manor House Chapter NSDAR Officers for the 2020-2022 term took office in June 2020 and will serve until June 2022. The chapter officers make up the Executive Board.
