Manor House Community Service Scholarship
In the spirit of continuing the NSDAR tradition of supporting students as they pursue higher education, Manor House established the Manor House Community Service Scholarship in 2017 with two primary goals in mind:
Provide direct support to District of Columbia students who have demonstrated a commitment to community service and are planning to enroll in a higher education program;
Honor the legacy of service left to us by former chapter Regent Peggy Eldridge Grieve, who worked tirelessly to rebuild our historic chapter and served as a model of leadership to so many chapter members.
Individual $500 scholarships will be awarded to one or more District of Columbia public school students graduating with the spring class who meet the following criteria:
Currently enrolled as a high school senior at a public or private high school in the District of Columbia;
Accepted and planning to enroll in a higher education program beginning in the summer or fall of 2026 (all accredited university, community college, or vocational certificate programs will be considered);
Exceed DC Public Schools community service graduation requirement (more than 100 documented hours service at a 501(c)3 organization or community service partner) during high school;
Complete and submit the Manor House Community Service Scholarship application form.
Our scholarship form is distributed to local high schools each fall and accepts submissions via email between February 1st and May 15th of each year. Winners will be selected by June 10th of each year.
